Ms. V's Fabulous Restaurant

Ms. V was the office manager for a company with whom I was employed. She and some of her family had a dream of opening a restaurant near Penn's Landing. This project was mainly a fun thing for her and a challenge for me.

Ms. V had a few ideas about what she wanted. One thing was a red and black color scheme. While they are lovely colors it can be difficult for some people to distinguish between them. For this reason I used a gold background and black text for the content areas. Another thing was a tabbed navigation. At the time I didn't know how to produce tabs so instead I created graphic buttons. The buttons appear to indent in the center when clicked on. While it is not exactly what she wanted, the indentation is an unusual affect that helps to make her site unique. She mentioned she likes flowers so I included a red flower in the site header.

It was also important to Ms. V that she could update her menu, receive reservations, and add testimonials. For this reason I created a management section. From here she could add, edit, and delete items from her menu. She could add, edit, delete, and order the sections of her menu. She could receive, respond, and reject reservations. She could decide to display a testomonial and where it should be displayed.
